NaPoWriMo Day 2 : Lady Godiva
Connected, Disconnected, Reconnected
The thought of sinking into the grass’s core with 2 am thoughts gazing
at the stars has always made me comfortable with the thought of being silent.
Lady Godiva and I lay juxtaposed on the quest to find that Southern
hemisphere constellation winter affection.
Her eyes were always on Capricornus and mine far out of reach all the
way to Leo. Love looked pretty good on her.
Godiva was neither Pisces nor Pegasus;
She was no mythical bird that expired in fire only to be reborn again
from the ashes of its previous existence.
She was no Horse born when the blood of Medusa's head fell into the foam
of the sea.
She was like the wind, chasing the sun, under the willow tree with
Manhattan blues.
While I chasing north polar constellation fire rocks, we rarely ever made ends meet.
The stars against Godiva,
MacGyver against Olympian gods and I against Lunar, the Titans and Love.
